Litro reduces domestic gas prices

Litro Gas announced a reduction in the price of domestic gas sold in Sri Lanka. The Chairman of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd Muditha Peiris said that the price of a 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs. 135. He also said that the price of a 5 kg gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs. 55 and 2.3 kg cylinder by Rs. 23. The price of a 12.5 kg gas cylinder will now be sold at Rs.4,115. Sri Lanka contributes one million USD to Gaza children’s fund

The Government of Sri Lanka donated USD 01 million to assist children impacted by the conflicts in the Gaza Strip. The donation was formally transferred to the Government of Palestine through the United Nations’ official channel, overseen by President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat, Monday. Sri Lanka records over 630,000 tourist arrivals in 2024

Sri Lanka has recorded over 630,000 tourist arrivals in 2024 after just over 200,000 arrivals were recorded in March. Tourism Minister Harin Fernando said that 209,181 arrivals were recorded in March 2024. He noted that over 200,000 arrivals were recorded each month in 2024. The Minister said that so far in 2024 Sri Lanka has recorded 635,784 tourist arrivals. Fernando said that this was a remarkable turnaround for Sri Lanka. (Colombo Gazette)
