Six Sri Lankan victims of human trafficking in Myanmar repatriated

Following representations made by the Government of Sri Lanka to Myanmar, six Sri Lankans, who were victims of the human trafficking have been repatriated to Colombo. The Sri Lankans were stranded in Myanmar and were rescued by the Myanmar authorities and handed over to the Sri Lanka Embassy in Yangon for repatriation to Sri Lanka, the Foreign Ministry said.
