Gang gets away with Rs. 5 million being transported in Kandy

A gang stole Rs 5 million which was being transported in Kandy by a private security firm. The Police said that the money belonged to two private companies. The money was being transported in a van by a private security firm when it was robbed by a five member gang. (Colombo Gazette)

Palitha Range Bandara?s son ordered to be further remanded

State Minister Palitha Range Bandara?s son Yashoda Range Bandara was today ordered to be re-remanded till June 14 over a recent motor accident. Yashoda Range Bandara had been arrested and remanded while he was receiving treatment in hospital following the accident. The Police had said that the vehicle in which?Palitha Range Bandara?s son was travelling had veered off the road and crashed into a house along the?Chilaw-Puttalam road last week. (Colombo Gazette)
