Chokolaate is a youth organization, with a reach across Sri Lanka. Chokolaate magazine is distributed through bookshops, department stores, supermarkets, etc. Apart from Colombo and the suburbs, Chokolaate is distributed in Kandy, Galle, Matara, Kurunegala, Matale, Negombo, and Jaffna.
Chokolaate also organizes events such as Chokolaate Mother Daughter Fashion Designer Competition, Chokolaate Centerstage, Chokolaate Open Mic Night, Chokolaate Screen masters, and multiple workshops in schools, which provide a stable platform for the youth to showcase their talents, learn new things, and expose themselves to new opportunities
‘Voice It’ is a debating competition organized by Chokolaate Magazine in partnership with Prospects College of Higher Education (PCHE) to provide a platform for the youth to explore an extra-curricular activity that will encourage educational banter and debate. Organized for the 2nd consecutive time, Voice It 2022 is endorsed by the Debaters’ Council as well. This debating competition will feature debating teams from schools around the island with renowned personalities present in the judging panel.
Our title sponsor PCHE offers degree transfer programs in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Business and Information Technology, to leading universities in Australia, including Monash University, Deakin University, University of Wollongong, and University of Western Sydney.
The debating competition will address various topics of concern through the means of healthy discussions and provide information to the audience in an interesting manner as well. Due to the prevailing situation with a global pandemic and economic crisis taking a toll on the extra-curricular activities of students, this debate competition is something that will help them research impending global concerns while building on their public speaking skills.
The tournament will take place on the 18th, 19th and 20th of November at Hejaaz International School.
