More coronavirus patients detected

Four more persons infected with COVID-19 were detected in Sri Lanka today. The Ministry of Health said the latest detections raise the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka to 592. Media requested to respect privacy of coronavirus patients

The Ministry of Defence has requested print and electronic media to respect the privacy of coronavirus infected patients. All print and electronic media have been requested to refrain from taking pictures or videos of their places of living and the scenes when the health authorities check their houses. Number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka continues to rise

The number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka continued to rise late this evening. The Ministry of Health said that 588 patients had been detected with the virus as of late this evening (Monday). Of the 588 patients there are 455 coronavirus active patients in Sri Lanka so far while 126 have recovered and have been discharged from hospital. Sri Lanka has so far recorded seven deaths from the virus. (Colombo Gazette)
