Passenger flight heading to BIA diverted to Mattala

A passenger flight which was heading to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), was diverted to the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) due to bad weather. The flight, Oman WY 371, was heading to Colombo from Muscat with 58 passengers on board when it was redirected to Mattala. The passenger flight later returned to the BIA after the bad weather cleared.

Over 100 still in custody over deadly bombings

Over 100 suspects are still in custody over the deadly Easter Sunday bombings, the Police said today. The Police said that 102 suspects are in custody of which 77 are being held by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that 25 others are in the custody of the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID).
