Yupun Abeykoon wins bronze in Commonwealth 100 m finals

Sri Lanka’s Yupun Abeykoon won the bronze medal in the men’s 100 m finals at the Commonwealth Games 2022 being held in Birmingham.

Abeykoon clocked 10.14 seconds to win the bronze behind Kenyan Ferdinand Omanyala who won the Gold with a time of 10.02s and South Africa’s Akani Simbine who came second.

Abeykoon had qualified for the final after being placed 4th in the third semi-final earlier in the day.

More Tamil refugees to return from India tomorrow

Government wants consensus on Constitutional Assembly

Two more customs officers arrested over bribery case

Two more customs officers were arrested today in relation to?a bribery case over which three customs officers were arrested last October. Three customs officers were arrested in October?for soliciting a bribe in Panchikawatte.
