Indonesia denies claims Sri Lankan visitors banned

Indonesia has denied claims that Sri Lankan visitors have been banned from entering the country.

The Indonesian Embassy in Colombo said that a special policy decision on Sri Lanka in that regard has not been taken.

“No special policy from the Government to prohibit the entry of Sri Lankan citizens due to the ongoing political and economic crisis in Sri Lanka. VoA facility for Sri Lankan citizens is still temporarily suspended. Sri Lankan citizens can apply for e-Visa through the Directorate General of Immigration,” the Indonesian Embassy said.
