Three more patients test positive for virus in Sri Lanka

The total number of patients confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus in Sri Lanka stands at 162. Director of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasighe said that 3 more patients infected with the virus were detected as of 05.00 p.m. today. Over 1200 arrested for violating Police curfew

The Police have arrested 1254 suspects for violating the islandwide Police curfew within the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today. The Police said 336 vehicles were also seized during this period. Meanwhile, 13468 suspects have been arrested since the implementation of the curfew since 20 March, to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka. Curfew will be lifted only once COVID-19 threat is eliminated

The curfew will be lifted only once the coronavirus (COVID-19) threat is eliminated, the Ministry of Defence said today. Defence Secretary Maj.Gen.
