Public must produce electricity bill to get gas

The public will need to produce their May 2022 electricity bill to obtain Litro gas from today, to avoid hoarding.

Litro said that the distribution of domestic gas will resume in Colombo today and in the suburbs on 13th July.

Litro has also increased the price of a 12.5 KG domestic gas cylinder by Rs. 50 from today.

A ship carrying 3,700 MT of LP gas arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had instructed officials to expedite unloading and distribution of the gas.

Another ship with 3,200 metric tonnes of gas is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on 15th July, the Presidential Secretariat said.

Litro Gas said it expects the distribution of gas to be regular and systematic from 12th July and the issue over domestic gas in the market is expected to be resolved by the end of this month.?(Colombo Gazette)
