Sajith holds talks with Sirisena, Wigneswaran

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa had talks with former President Maithripala Sirisena and MP C.V Wigneswaran as well as civil society members today.

The talks were focused on working together to address the crisis in the country.

Premadasa said that everyone must unite to save the country.

He said that over the past three years the country had suffered owing to the leadership deciding to act alone without listening to others.

Premadasa said that the intention of the opposition is to listen to the views of everyone and formulate a national policy to rebuild the country.

Most members of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya alliance attended the meeting. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. The protests have not worked. It is time to look at alternatives.

    Don’t we have one capable person in the Tri-forces capable of marshalling a coup. After the low-life’s in parliament have been imprisoned or shot, transition the country back to civilian rule, with a more robust political system.

    We simply cannot continue with the current system.

  2. We currently do not have the qualified people in parliament required to resolve this crisis. We need experts in the relevant fields from the business community appointed to cabinet positions.

    Appoint the whole damn cabinet through the National List. It is not *&$#@% rocket science. Otherwise, we will be in the same position 10 -20 years from now, if the same scum remain in parliament. Listen and learn from Lee Kuan Yew.
