SJB, NPP decide to boycott Parliament and walk out

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and the National Peoples Power (NPP) today decided to boycott Parliament sessions this week and walked out of Parliament.

The SJB informed Parliament that it will not attend sessions this week as the Government had failed to present a plan to address the ongoing crisis in the country.

“We will boycott Parliament sessions this week. We will stand with the people on the street,” SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa told Parliament.

The NPP also said that it will boycott Parliament sessions this week.

  1. Boycotting Parliament and preparing elections are waste of time. You had plenty of elections since 1948, but going backwards. Since the independence you have multiplied your population 4 times. It means you have multiplied your foolishness 4 times by following the western political system. The million dollar question is, what are you going to do with those millions of fools?

First and foremost you need to implement one child policy to reduce foolishness multiplying and also to reduce spending on free education and health care. Secondly, every one between 16 and 65 must work, even high school and university students must work part time. Stop encouraging laziness and dishonesty by entertaining tuition classes. There are plenty of work in Sri Lanka for everyone. I have seen uncultivated lands everywhere while I was driving from Colombo to Jaffna. Use the people to produce food on those uncultivated lands. I travelled in Germany and Switzerland, those countries used every inch of their land to produce something. Why can’t you do the same? Trees have been destroyed by corrupt officials, use the people to plant trees.

    • Exactly! election won’t fix anything same situation will prevail. But maybe they should be sent out to campaign for elections and face the voters and get what they deserve. After the dust settles maybe a bunch of highly educated youth can be brought into politics after throwing out all the gangsters and money laundering criminals out…

The citizenry in each area known the thugs working for politicians. They won’t vote for the politicians who have connections with thugs this time around.

SJB has so many gangsters themselves and fools want them as a replacement for SLPP thugs and Rajapaksas!

No to gangsters in politics anymore. Even Gangsters who speak good English…

  2. If SJB for the people they would have made the entire 21st Amendment document public while it was in its draft stage..

So that everyone knows if it truly is what the country needs!

  3. Elections are coming soon to put SJB in the hot seat and face the people.

But first let’s see how all political parties mainly the SLPP, SLFP & SJB campaign for elections and how many get beaten up?

People already know who owns illegally obtained vehicles and live in house they can’t account for with their legal earnings.

  4. SJB are working with the Rajapaksas sooner people realize this the better.

They won’t even commit to holding the Rajapaksas accountable and prosecute them.

Why won’t they initiate an investigations involving international bodies into stolen monies, assets recovery, money laundering? Because they work for the Rajapaksas…
