SJB youth pass resolution against Harin and Manusha

A unanimous resolution has been passed by the Samagi Tharuna Balawegaya (SJB Youth) against SJB MPs Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara.
SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa, SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, SJB Youth Wing Chairman Mayantha Dissanayaka, MP Hesha Vithanage and MP Dr Kavinda Jayawardena attended the meeting along with the relevant office bearers.
A proposal was made by one of its Working Committee members to request the General Secretary of the SJB to not accept the MP’s who have joined the Government, violating the collective decision made by the party and to not grant them nominations under the SJB at any future elections.
A request was also made to follow the same rules when it comes to those that wish to violate party decisions in the future. This resolution was passed unanimously by the members of the SJB Youth wing.
“The Samagi Tharuna Balawegaya is a vibrant youth organisation which is the official youth wing of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. We have a diverse mix of young and able leaders from all ethnicities and it is our duty to protect and uplift the values that have been included into the constitution of the party,” the SJB Youth wing said.
The SJB Youth wing said that it is upto every single member of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya to help steer the party towards the right direction while upholding party discipline.
The SJB Youth wing noted that self centered decisions made with no real plan for the future of the country will only result in further chaos and anarchy. (Colombo Gazette)
