Work from home encouraged to manage energy crisis

Work from home has been encouraged from today to manage the energy crisis and minimize the use of fuel.

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said that the public sector workforce will be called to work on the direction of the head of the institute from today.

“Work from home will be encouraged to minimize the use of fuel and to manage the energy crisis,” he said.

State institutions have already been informed to allow non-essential staff to work from home.

Sri Lanka is currently facing a serious shortage of fuel which has resulted in daily power cuts being enforced. (Colombo Gazette)

Harsha tells CMC to remove offensive hoarding in Rajagiriya
