Five Sri Lankans arrested by India at sea with 340 kg of heroin

Five Sri Lankans have been arrested at sea by India with 340 kg of heroin. The Indian Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized nearly 340 kg of heroin from a Sri Lankan boat and arrested five people for drug trafficking in Kochi, the Indian media reported. Female Maharagama UC member arrested for assaulting another woman

A female member of the Maharagama Urban Council (UC) has been arrested for assaulting a fellow female councillor. Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said the 49-year-old woman had assaulted a 47-year-old UC member.
