License of four fuel stations suspended

The license of four fuel stations have been suspended by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) last night, Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said today.

He said the licence was suspended for holding stocks without distributing it and dispensing fuel to cans and barrels ignoring the guidelines and regulations.

Accordingly, the licence has been suspended for 4 fuel stations located in Kelaniya, Mirigama, Makola and Nalla. (Colombo Gazette)

Lankan lodged in special prison in India released

The Tamil Nadu state government has released a Sri Lankan national who was lodged in the special refugee camp at the Trichy central prison. Hassan Mohammed, 32, from Kandy was sentenced to prison and lodged in the camp in 2013 for trying to leave the country with a fake passport.
