Army assures no shortage of quarantine centers

The Military says there is no shortage of quarantine centers in Sri Lanka. Foreign Secretary Ravinatha Aryasinha yesterday said over 27,000 Sri Lankans who are overseas have expressed their wish to return to Sri Lanka in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Health Ministry seeks 1000 body bags from ICRC

The Ministry of Health has sought 1000 body bags from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to dispose bodies during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Daily Mirror website reported. CERT warns of Google doc phishing scam targeting Sri Lankans

The National Centre for Cyber Security has warned of a Google doc phishing scam targeting Sri Lankans. The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) said that the phishing scam is being circulated using WhatsApp. The scam is being sent claiming it is from the Credit Information Bureau under the title ‘Naya Sahana 2020’. CERT says the Google doc phishing scam targets bank account information of Sri Lankans. The public have been warned not to divulge their bank details on the document.
