Public continue to protest demanding gas

The public continued to protest demanding cooking gas by blocking roads and disrupting vehicular movements.

The latest protest was reported from Nawinna on the 138 bus route.

Protesters blocked the High Level Road and demanded that they be given gas.

A similar protest was also reported at Armour Street last evening where the road was blocked.

Meanwhile, in Pelawatte yesterday gas cylinders were placed to block the road during a protest.

The public staged the protest demanding domestic gas which is in short supply.

A number of people placed the cylinders across the road near a fuel shed blocking vehicular traffic.

Public bus transport along the route was affected as a result of the protest. (Colombo Gazette)
