Horu Go Gama has been established near Parliament following a protest by university students.
A large crowd of students marched from Nugegoda to Parliament Road today and pulled down one of three Police barriers.
The students made several attempts to pull down the second barrier but failed.
The Police later fired water cannons and tear gas in an attempt to disperse the students.
The students fled but returned and protested at the site again.
The students later erected tents near the barrier and established Horu Go Gama.
They continued to protest and stayed overnight.
Horu Go Gama follows Go Gota Gama established near the Presidential Secretariat and Maina Go Gama near Temple Trees.?(Colombo Gazette)
