Wanted thief steals from house of Anglican priest

A wanted thief, Nigel Jacotine alias Nigel Ghouse, has stolen again, this time from a house of an Anglican priest.

The thief has gone into the house and stolen from the priest at knife-point before fleeing.

The accused has stolen from a number of stores and other locations in Colombo and Wattala.

However, the Police have not yet been able to arrest the suspect. (Colombo Gazette)

Five policemen further remanded over Jaffna shooting

Five policemen who had been arrested over a shooting incident in Jaffna were further remanded till January 13?by the Jaffna Magistrate today. The two Jaffna University students were killed after being shot at by the police when they were?travelling on a motorcycle in Kankasanturai.
