Galle Face protesters begin to use digital mapping

The protesters at Galle Face began to use digital mapping today by displaying images on the walls of the Presidential Secretariat.

Digital images with wordings, including “Go Home Gota”, were projected onto the walls of the Presidential Secretariat during the protest.

The Police and security officers at the Presidential Secretariat made several attempts to obstruct the digital images from being displayed on the wall.

Today was the 9th day of the Occupy Galle Face protest where there is a push to make President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to resign.

The site of the protest has been named ‘Go Gota Gama’ or Go Gota Village with tents and portable toilets also being installed.?(Colombo Gazette)

Islandwide curfew declared from this evening

An islandwide curfew has been declared in Sri Lanka from this evening to contain the spread of the coronavirus. The curfew has been declared from 6 PM today to 6 AM on Monday (23).
