Mahinda Rajapaksa will continue as Prime Minister

Prime Minster Mahinda Rajapaksa will not resign and will continue until the next election, the Government said today.

Former State Minister Kanchana Wijesekera told Parliament today that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minster Mahinda Rajapaksa will remain in office.

The former State Minister also said that the Government continues to enjoy a majority in Parliament.

He said that the MPs who left the Government have not joined the opposition.

Earlier, former Minister Wimal Weerawansa said that both President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa must step down.

He said the public have lost faith in the Rajapaksa-led administration so there needs to be change.?(Colombo Gazette)

Perpetual Treasuries Limited had paid the credit card bills of former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) informed court today.
