Covid death toll in Sri Lanka goes past 15,000

The death toll from the coronavirus crossed the 15,000 mark in Sri Lanka today, the Ministry of Health said. According to the Health Ministry, another 24 deaths linked to the virus were confirmed in Sri Lanka today. The 24 deaths had occurred yesterday (January 01) and were confirmed by the Health Ministry today. The latest victims included 20 males and 04 females, the Health Ministry said. Court dissolves order preventing payment to Chinese company

The Colombo Commercial High Court today dissolved an order preventing the payment to a Chinese company for imported fertilizer. The order was dissolved on the basis that the Chinese company and the Sri Lankan Government had reached a settlement on the issue.
