Father and daughter killed in Southern Expressway accident

A father and daughter have been killed following an accident along the Southern Expressway today.

The accident had occurred between Milleniya and Dodangoda early this morning.

The Police said that the car they were travelling in had?skidded off the expressway and crashed killing the man and his daughter.

Three others who were in the vehicle were admitted to hospital for treatment.

The victims were identified as a 39-year-old man and his four-year-old daughter from Bandaragama.

The occupants of the car were returning from a pilgrimage in Kataragama. (Colombo Gazette)

Large stock of Nano Nitrogen liquid fertilizer arrives from India

A large stock of Nano Nitrogen liquid fertilizer arrived in Sri Lanka from India today. Two Indian Air Force (IAF) heavy lift aircraft arrived with a consignment of Nano Nitrogen fertilizer on the request of the Government of Sri Lanka.
