Public warned of a lockdown if protests continue

The public have been warned of another lockdown if protests continue.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa said that the country has been reopened and the new normal has been introduced.

However, he said that the threat of the coronavirus spreading again has surfaced as a result of protests and agitation campaigns.

The President warned that the country will need to be placed under lockdown once again if the virus spreads.

He said that enforcing a knockdown will affect the public and the economy.

The President said this at an event held at Temple Trees today. (Colombo Gazette)
