The Police recorded a statement from musician Iraj Weeraratne over a complaint filed against him by a YouTube personality. Weeraratne appeared before the?Welikada Police to record the statement. Sri Lankan public urged not to panic following fears of fuel shortage

The Sri Lankan public have been urged not to panic following fears of a fuel shortage in the country. The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said that adequate fuel stocks had been dispatched to fuel sheds across the country. The CPC insisted that there is no shortage of fuel and there was no need for panic buying. Fuel distributors had earlier warmed that they will suspend fuel distribution over moves to abolish the 3% discount currently offered to distributors by the CPC. (Colombo Gazette)
