Three cricketers picked for SLC invitational T20 league test positive

Three cricketers picked for the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) invitational T20 league have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Accordingly, Sachindu Colombage, Nimesh Vimukthi and Mohammed Shiraz have tested positive for the virus and will not take part in the tournament.

The Sri Lanka Cricket board said that the three players are currently undergoing due medical protocols.

The Dialog – SLC Invitational T20 League will see each team playing six games in the initial round whilst the top two teams will qualify for the final on August 24.

All games will take place as ‘double headers,’ with the first game starting at 2.30 p.m. and the second game at 7.00 p.m. (Colombo Gazette)
