Prime Minister to visit Jaffna later this month

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is to visit Jaffna later this month, officials said.

G. Cassilingham, Coordinating Secretary to the Prime Minister, tweeted saying Rajapaksa will undertake a two day visit to Jaffna on July 31 and 1st August.

This will be his first visit to the Jaffna District since the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna was elected to power last year.

“In prep for PM @PresRajapaksa’s visit to Jaffna, we held discussions with all stake holders on ground. The visit will include Hon. PM inaugurating a desalination plant in Thalaiyadi & handing over houses and deeds to newly resettled families in the district,” Cassilingham tweeted. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka (Well known Rajapaksa lackey) was responsible for CoupLk while he was advising Maithripala Sirisena who helped expose other players who are secretly working with the Rajapaksa during that time.

Now Dayan Jayatilleka is the advisor of Sajith Premadasa after successfully dismantling the opposition to secure a 2/3 majority win for the Rajapaksas!

Still people are fooling themselves that we have an opposition!!

What we have is a controlled opposition in the pockets of the Rajapaksas…

Sajith might as well go sit with the ruling party…

His refusal to bring a no confidence motion against the government proves his role.

Time people wake up and start forming a true opposition to the government for the next elections…

  2. Why Mahinda Rajapaksa is visiting Jaffna. All the top jobs are given to the Rajapaksas and Sinhalease. The Rajapaksas should visit Singapore Parliament and see how many Tamils are in high profile jobs.
