Coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka goes past 800

The coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka went past 800 today, the Government Information Department said.

Another 15 deaths linked to the coronavirus were reported today taking the total deaths in Sri Lanka to 801.

Of the 15 deaths one victim is a 52-year-old female resident of Bandaragama. She died while undergoing treatment at the Horana Base Hospital.

The second victim is a 76-year-old female resident of Ampitiya. She died while undergoing treatment at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.

The third victim is a 46-year-old male resident of Ganemulla. He died while undergoing treatment at the Welisara Chest Hospital.

The fourth victim is a 72 year old female resident of Ragama. She died at the IDH Hospital.

The other victims are a 56-year-old male resident of Kuliyapitiya, a 59-year-old male resident of Bibila, a 60-year-old female resident of Galkiriyagama, a 62-year-old female resident of Kuliyapitiya, a 74-year-old male resident of Passara, a 69-year-old female resident of Waskaduwa, a 67-year-old female resident of Neboda, a 75-year-old female resident of Bombuwala, an 86-year-old female resident of Nauththuduwaa, a 61-year-old male resident of Colombo 07 and a 57-year-old female resident of Madolkele.
