Mandatory quarantine for returnees reverted to 14 days

The mandatory quarantine for Sri Lankans returning from overseas has been reverted to 14 days. 

Army Commander, General Shavendra Silva said that the symptoms from the new variant is seen after 7-10 days.

As a result Sri Lankans returning from overseas cannot be sent home after seven days.

He said that the Health Ministry will issue new guidelines making it mandatory for Sri Lankans returning from overseas to undergo quarantine for 14 days. (Colombo Gazette)
