Thirteen coronavirus related deaths reported today

Thirteen coronavirus related deaths were reported in Sri Lanka today, the Government Information Department said.

The 13 deaths took the death toll in Sri Lanka to 422.

The latest victims included residents of Peliyagoda, Nuwara Eliya, Kalutara, Gampola, Panadura and Nugegoda.

A 46-year-old woman from Nuwara Eliya is reported to have died on 11th February upon admission to the District Hospital Nuwara Eliya. The cause of death has been identified as COVID-19 infection and kidney disease.

A 65-year-old man from Agarapathana, who was transferred from the Agarapathana Hospital to the District Hospital in Nuwara Eliya has died upon admission on 12th February. The cause of death has been reported as acute asthma condition caused by COVID-19 infection and kidney disease.

An 86-year-old man from Peliyagoda is said to have died while receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Colombo on 16th February. The cause of death has been reported as Covid pneumonia, and heart and kidney diseases.

An 83-year-old male from Bombuwala is reported to have died at his residence on 5th February. The cause of death has been reported as pneumonia, high blood pressure, with Covid infection.

A 76-year-old man is also reported to have died at his residence in Kalutara on 5th February. The cause of death has been mentioned as acute asthma, Covid infection and lung cancer.

A 69- year-old man from Neboda is reported to have died at his residence on 10th February. The cause of death has been reported as blood poisoning, COVID-19 infection, and acute diabetes.

A 63-year-old male from Maggona is reported to have died on 5th February at his residence. The cause of death has been reported as heart disease, high blood pressure, with Covid infection.

An 81-year-old male from Kalutara North is reported to have died at his residence on 7th February. The cause of death has been identified as Covid pneumonia and high blood pressure.

A 72-year-old male from Kalutara North is reported to have died at his residence on 5th February. The cause of death has been reported as blood poisoning, heart disease, with Covid infection.

A 69-year-old male from Gampola is said to have died while being treated at the Base Hospital Gampola on 15th February. The cause of death is COVID-19 infection, lung disease and high blood pressure.

A 74-year-old male from Panadura, who was transferred from the General Hospital in Colombo to the Base Hospital Mulleriyawa is reported to have died on 17th February. The cause of death is Covid pneumonia, blood poisoning, and lung cancer.

An 82-year-old male from We-Uda, who was transferred from a private hospital in Kandy to the Base Hospital Theldeniya is reported to have died while receiving treatment on 03rd February. The cause of death has been reported as Covid pneumonia and acute kidney damage.

An 82-year-old male from Nugegoda, who was transferred from Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital to the Base Hospital Minuwangoda is reported to have died on 17th February. The cause of death has been reported as acute heart disease and kidney disease, with Covid infection. (Colombo Gazette)
