President Mahinda Rajapaksa will travel to Uganda tomorrow to participate in the Commonwealth Local Government conference, New Vision website reported. Welgama wants to attract women

Transport Minister Kumara Welgama says he has decided to do away with his traditional sarong in Parliament and wear trousers to attract female parliamentarians. Speaking at a public event, Welgama said that when he walks into parliament wearing the sarong no one looks at him. Lankans charged at Ricky Martin event

Two Sri Lankan asylum seekers have been charged with indecent assaults on two women and a girl at a Ricky Martin event in Sydney last night, the Australian website reported.
