The electoral register will be used to pick people to be vaccinated for the coronavirus.
However, Presidential Advisor Lalith Weeratunga said that no one will be forced to obtain the vaccine.
“It is a voluntary process,” Weeratunga asserted.
He said that newspaper advertisements will also be published to make the public aware of the vaccination process.
Weeratunga said that anyone not on the electoral register can apply for the vaccine separately if they fall within the priority list. (Colombo Gazette)
