Coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka rises to 144

The coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka has risen to 144, the Government Information Department said.
The Government said that two coronavirus related deaths were reported today.
Both victims are residents of Colombo.
Of the two victims, one is a 20-day-old infant who had died at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children. The cause of death has been identified as blood poisoning, multi organ dysfunction and Covid pneumonia.
The second victim is a 62-year-old male from Colombo 10. He was transferred
from a private hospital in Colombo to the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital.
He died while receiving treatment at the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital. (Colombo Gazette)
