Sri Lanka was discussed during the budget speech at the Indian parliament this morning. Sri Lanka rejects video on Praba’s son

The Sri Lankan high commissioner to India, Prasad Kariyawasam, on Tuesday rubbished the controversial video showing the bullet-ridden body of the 12-year-old son of LTTE’s slain chief V. Deputy Minister?s driver arrested

The driver of Deputy Minister Weerakumara Dissanayake has been arrested after his vehicle was involved in an accident this evening. Dissanayake?s vehicle had run=over a lady on the road while returning from Puttalam to Anuradhapura this evening. According to the police the lady had sustained serious injuries in the accident and was admitted to hospital for treatment. The driver had been arrested and investigations are underway, the police said.
