Retired judge Padmini Ranawaka questioned on recordings

Retired High Court Judge Padmini Ranawaka was questioned by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) on the controversial phone recordings involving Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake. Ranawaka appeared before the CCD today to record the statement. Police sergeant arrested while accepting bribe

A Police sergeant has been arrested while he was accepting a bribe, the Commission to investigate allegations of bribery or corruption said. The cop, attached to the Pelmadulla Police, was in the process of accepting Rs. 50,000 as a bribe from an individual to provide the original documents of a Police complaint when he was arrested.

HC to hear case against granting bail to Rajitha in March

The Colombo High Court is to hear the revision application filed against the granting of bail to former Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne in March.
