State institutions in Western Province told to implement ‘work from home’ system

State institutions in the Western Province have been told to implement the ‘work from home’ system.

The Presidential Secretariat has issued a circular to State institutions to implement the ‘work from home’ system in order to control the spread of the coronavirus.

Heads of State institutions have been advised to introduce a methodology similar to that followed in March-April this year.

The government had declared a ‘work from home’ period in March and had extended it in April as a result of the coronavirus.

Government institutions began to operate as usual after the quarantine curfew was completely lifted in June. (Colombo Gazette)
