A quarantine curfew has been enforced in the Panadura, Moratuwa and Homagama police divisions.
The Police said the curfew has been enforced with immediate effect and will be in force until further notice.
Police spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said the curfew was enforced in these area on the advise of the health authorities.
He said the curfew was enforced after coronavirus patients were detected in these areas.
The quarantine curfew is currently in force in 68 Police divisions.
DIG Ajith Rohana said that the curfew is in force in 37 Police divisions in the Gampaha District, 21 Police divisions in the Colombo District, 5 Police divisions in the Kalutara District and 5 Police divisions in Kuliyapitiya.
The public have been told to stay at home in the curfew areas and warned that anyone stepping out will be arrested. (Colombo Gazette)
