Tuition teacher remanded for sexually abusing several children

A tuition teacher has been arrested and remanded for sexually abusing several children.

The Police said that the tuition teacher from Panniptiya had sexually abused children for several years.

He had also reportedly videoed some of the crimes he committed.

At least 20 videos have been found of the children, the Police and the National Child Protection Authority said.

The National Child Protection Authority said the victims have been produced for medical tests.

The Police said the accused was produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate today and remanded till 5th August. (Colombo Gazette)
