Suspect arrested with fake currency notes

A suspect was arrested with several fake currency notes in Otamavadi, the police media unit said today. The police said that the suspect had initially attempted to purchase goods from a store using a fake Rs. 500 note. Based on information provided to the police, the suspect was arrested and investigations were launched last night. Over Rs. 10 million worth of stolen goods found

The Colombo Crimes Division?(CCD) has recovered over Rs. 10 million worth of stolen goods and arrested two persons in this regard. The police said that the goods had been stolen from textile factories in Maharagama, Panipitiya, Nugegoda, Homagama and Battaramulla.
