Schools to reopen on 27 July only for Grade 11, 12, 13

Schools will reopen on 27 July only for Grade 11, 12 and 13, the Ministry of Education said today.

The Ministry of Education said that schools, which were closed this week, will remain closed for another week.

Schools will then reopen on 27 July only for Grade 11, 12 and 13.

The decision to close schools this week was taken as a precautionary measure following concerns related to the coronavirus.

The Education Ministry said that schools in the Rajanganaya and Welikanda educational divisions will remain closed till 10th August.

Meanwhile, dates for the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam and G.C.E. Advanced Level Exam will be announced on the 20th of July.

Schools were closed on 13 March?as a result of the coronavirus and?reopened in stages?this month.

However with the virus spreading in some parts of the country schools were?closed again?this week.?(Colombo Gazette)

Polls chief informed SLFP will put forward candidate

The National Elections Commission has been informed that the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will put forward a candidate at the upcoming Presidential elections.
