Phone, SIM cards found from Kanjipani Imran’s cell

The Police Special Task Force (STF) recovered a mobile phone, SIM cards and other items from the prison cell of notorious drug dealer ?Kanjipani Imran? in Boosa.

The STF had carried out a search operation prison last morning (01) and had found the items hidden in the cell.

The Police said an Android mobile phone, a charger and 4 sim cards that were seized by the STF have been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department. (Colombo Gazette)

PCoI will not summon Anura, two others until petitions are examined

Buddhist Sunday school to reopen in stages

Buddhist Sunday schools which were temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka are to be reopened under two phases. Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs Sunanda Kariyapperuma said Sunday schools for Grade 06- 13 will recommence from 16 August.
