PM to discuss and decide on Parliamentary election

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says he hopes to have talks with Speaker Karu Jayasuriya and others to discuss and decide on the Parliamentary election. In a special statement today Wickremesinghe congratulated President-elect Gotabaya Rajapaksa who won the just concluded Presidential election. Wickremesinghe said that he will now have talks with the Speaker, party leaders and ruling party Parliamentarians with regards to the Parliamentary election.

EU gathers information on polls related incidents

European Union election observers have begun gathering information on incidents related to the Presidential election reported today. US video on GR doctored

The United States says a video circulating on social media depicting a State Department spokeswoman allegedly making a comment on Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Presidential candidate, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, is fake. US Embassy spokeswoman, Nancy VanHorn, told the Colombo Gazette that the video is doctored.
