Samagi Jana Balawegaya claims UNP set to join Government

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya claims the United National Party (UNP) is set to join the Government.
Former UNP Parliamentarian and now a member of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Lakshman Kiriella claimed that some UNP members are in talks with the Government.
“We have information that the UNP is to join the Government,” he told reporters today.
He said that some UNP members have said that they will join the Government if invited to do so.
However, he said that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya led by UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa, will not join the Government.
He said that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will form its own Government after the next Parliamentary election.
Kiriella said he was confident the current Government will lose the next Parliamentary election. (Colombo Gazette)
