Ranil questions if Sri Lanka is really ready to relax restrictions

United National Party (UNP) leader and former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today questioned if Sri Lanka is really ready to relax restrictions imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

In a special statement issued today, Wickremesinghe said that there needs to be more testing conducted daily and more face masks distributed.

Wickremesinghe said that there needs to be at least 3000 tests conducted daily.

He warned that relaxing the restrictions imposed in the country without increasing the number of tests conducted on the public daily could result in serious consequences. (Colombo Gazette)
