CSE to resume operations on Monday

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has announced that trading will commence from 11 May.

The CSE halted operations last month after the continuous islandwide Police curfew due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka.

Issuing a press release, the CSE said that the resumption of operations comes in line with the Government?s decision to recommence work of both private and public sector entities in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam districts from Monday(11).

The CSE said trading will resume with the pre-open session from 10.30 – 11.00 a.m.

The Open Auction will then continue from 11.00 a.m., while regular trading will commence after 11.00 a.m.

The CSE added that the market will close at 1.00 p.m. concluding the trading session for the day. (Colombo Gazette)
