Number of Navy officers confirmed with coronavirus stands at 390

The number of Navy officers confirmed as having contracted the coronavirus stands at 390 today.

The National Operation Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said that most of those infected are from within the Welisara Navy camp.

According to the National Operation Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, 308 Navy officers are from inside the Welisara camp and 82 from outside.

Meanwhile, a total of 286 individuals who underwent quarantining at the Army-managed Punani (101), Kandakadu (36), Katukeliyawa (31), Navy-managed Sampur (98) and Oluvil (20) quarantine centers left today.

A total of 5728 quarantined individuals from the quarantine centers managed by the military have left for their homes as of today.

A further 4931 individuals are still in quarantine centers around the country. (Colombo Gazette)
