The isolation imposed on Abhayapura village in Lankapura, Polonnaruwa has been removed.
Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva told the Colombo Gazette that the village was reopened today.
Twelve villages, including Abhayapura village in Lankapura, Polonnaruwa were declared as isolation areas on 22 April after the detection of a COVID-19 patient in the Pumadiya village in Abhayapura.
Forty -three persons from Abhayapura village were later transferred to quarantine centers.
The Army Commander said restrictions imposed on the entry and exit to the area have also been lifted from today. (Colombo Gazette)
