Samagi Jana Balawegaya files petition against 20 June polls

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya today filed a petition in court against the 20 June Parliamentary election.

General Secretary of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Ranjith Madduma Bandara filed a Fundamental Rights (FR) petition challenging the Gazette notification issued by the Elections Commission declaring the General Election to be held on 20 June.

Similar petitions have been filed by a number of others as well against holding the election on 20 June. (Colombo Gazette)
