Number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka increases

The number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka increased further this evening.

The Health Ministry said that the total confirmed cases detected in Sri Lanka rose to 674 this evening (Friday).

Of the 674, the last nine detected included five people who had associated with Navy officers who had contracted the virus.

The other four includes one person from Colombo and three Navy officers.

As of now there are 510 active coronavirus patients in Sri Lanka while 157 others have recovered and have been discharged from hospital.

Meanwhile, 145 individuals are currently in hospital after seeking treatment on suspicion that they had contracted the virus. (Colombo Gazette)
